Expanding your eReader's potential
Since their inception, the demand for E-Readers has grown significantly, with more and more people using these devices. It is almost at the point now where you see more people reading one of these devices at the beach than reading regular books. Kindles and Nooks are the most common devices, and with their popularity, there have been a lot of new accessories brought onto the market.
Currently there are a variety of accessories on the marketplace for the Kindle and Nook. Much like the iPod, whenever a new electronic device appears on the market, companies start producing anything and everything that they can to accessorize the devices and make yours unique. The most obvious one is the new line of sleeves, which serve as simple covers for the E-Reader to protect it from scratches and to modify the coloring to your own taste.
Many people like getting a sleeve or Kindle cover for their eReader as a second gift for the person getting the device. It allows you to customize the color options for your eReader, and offers some protection in cases where you might drop it.
However, another option on the marketplace is the Kradle, an E-Reader stand that is usable by the Kindle, Nook or Sony Reader. The E-Reader stand is very subtle, simply a flat base in which you can rest the Kindle or Nook. The E-Reader stand then lets you angle the Kindle or Nook to any angle that is convenient for your current position.
The E-Reader stand is an interesting addition in the marketplace as it removes the need to hold the Kindle or Nook like an actual book. Now, when eating a meal or drinking coffee, you can set your E-Reader at the desired angle and just read your book at your leisure. This beats the normal challenge of either holding the book while you work or of having to rest it flat and reading at an awkward angle.
Another popular accessory on the market today is the eBook light. Since these devices use eInk, they are hard to read in the dark, much like a normal book. With the light attachment, you are able to use your Kindle or Nook in any lighting conditions.
